all the signs were there: big swell, easing wind, swing to the west. Went straight to Hove sea front at 7am and it was perfect sideshore. Rigged the 4.0m Ezzy Wave on RRD WaveCult. Perfect set up. plenty of wind for punching out the back, but not overpowered on the wave. Probably the best I have ever had Hove. Waves were good size and peeling towards Brighton for down the line whacks. Bit of a shorebreak when launching, but didnt step on land again til 9am when it was ankle deep on the inside. The waves were clean as you like, really smooth on the face. Between 5-10 top turns every time. AND it was fully sunny, and you could see your own shadow on the water next to you. No other windsurfers or kites.

The wind dropped a bit by the end and the lower tide took the size and punch out of the waves. Broke a harness line out the back and called it a day.

Every wave I kept thinking "this is 5 stars". Bingo.
